Retailer aims for 50 shops in country by 2032 amid Asia-focused overseas push

TOKYO -- Japanese furniture retailer Nitori Holdings said Monday it is expanding into the Philippines with a store set to open next month, extending the company's push into Asian countries beyond its home market.

The 1,100-square-meter shop will be at the Mitsukoshi BGC shopping center in Manila. The company said it looks to have 50 stores in the Philippines by 2032.
