Convenience store chain expands into Dandong in country's northeast

DANDONG, China -- Japanese convenience store chain Lawson has opened its first batch of stores in the city of Dandong, with a goal of reaching 10,000 Chinese locations by 2025 through leveraging its strengths in food development and more.

A ceremony held Wednesday celebrated the simultaneous openings of 13 stores in this Liaoning province city on the border with North Korea in China's northeast.
