Japan's Nitori launches first India store in Mumbai

Furniture seller eyes 300 locations nationwide by 2035, vying with IKEA

MUMBAI -- Japanese furniture retailer Nitori Holdings opened its first Indian location here on Friday, establishing a foothold in the country's largest commercial hub.

The 2,900-sq.-meter store in the R City Mall in Mumbai's Ghatkopar district stocks roughly 8,000 products, including furniture, bedding and tableware.
