TOKYO/NEW YORK -- The Japanese owner of lifestyle retailer Muji looks to increase revenue by one-third in three years with a strategy that involves solidifying its base in Asia, then mounting a comeback in Western markets.

Satoshi Shimizu, the incoming president of Muji owner Ryohin Keikaku, presented the new medium-term business plan to reporters on Friday.
