TOKYO -- A big Seibu department store in Tokyo's Ikebukuro shopping district will be closed on Thursday as a labor union of Sogo & Seibu, a unit of Seven & i Holdings, has decided to go on strike.

The labor union has asked parent Seven & i to put off the sale of department store operator Sogo & Seibu.
