Thailand's Central Group looks beyond Bangkok in $460m investment push

BANGKOK -- Thai retailer Central Group is expanding its footprint in tourist destinations outside the capital, including Krabi and Chiang Mai, under a 15 billion baht ($461 million), five-year investment spree.

Central will undergo a major transformation, an executive at property development unit Central Pattana told reporters in September.
