Thailand's Central Group to build beachfront mall in Pattaya

$86m park and shopping attraction targets post-COVID tourism recovery

BANGKOK -- Central Group, Thailand's top retailer, will build a mall in Pattaya that incorporates the beach resort city's natural environment, looking to draw tourists returning to the country after the coronavirus pandemic.

Central expects to invest up to 3 billion baht ($86.4 million) in Wongamat Beach Village, which will feature shops and restaurants.
