PALO ALTO, U.S. -- TikTok has stepped up its e-commerce presence in the U.S. and launched a music-streaming service, pitting the video-sharing platform against Amazon.com.

Vendors in the U.S. are already finding that showcasing their merchandise via TikTok has been good for business.
