TOKYO -- Fast Retailing, the Japanese parent of casualwear chain Uniqlo, said Thursday it will open a pop-up store for its GU clothing brand this fall in New York -- the label's first outlet outside of Asia.

The roughly 270 square-meter shop planned for Manhattan's SoHo neighborhood will stay open until summer 2023.
