TOKYO -- Japanese universities have put their minds together in an attempt to develop technology that can manipulate weather to limit damage from heavy rains, which have become more common with climate change.
The group is working on methods to stop cumulonimbus storm clouds from developing, aiming to put the technology to practical use in 2050.
