LOS ANGELES -- Sony Interactive Entertainment has sold through more than 60.4 million PlayStation 4 consoles in three and a half years, the company said Monday, laying out plans to sustain the momentum by broadening its catalog of popular games and virtual-reality software.
The Sony unit introduced upcoming titles the day before the Electronic Entertainment Expo, or E3. "Monster Hunter World," adding to a franchise beloved in Japan, is due out from Capcom in early 2018. New offerings are also in the pipeline in role-playing games and other genres for the PlayStation VR accessory, released last year.
