OSAKA -- A Japanese startup whose app can track and analyze baseball pitches has assembled a team of investors that includes professional players as well as a big venture capital firm.
Tokyo-based Knowhere's technology, which works with a smartphone, crunches data to help pitchers improve their throwing technique. The app can also track the launch angle of a batted ball if the phone camera is pointed at the hitter.
