Japan's SkyDrive lands flying car pre-order from South Korea

Delivery of up to 50 cars to aircraft lessor Solyu set for as early as 2026

NAGOYA, Japan -- Japanese startup SkyDrive said Friday it has received a pre-order for up to 50 flying cars from a South Korean buyer.

Solyu, a Seoul-based aircraft leasing company, is looking to buy the electric vertical takeoff and landing vehicles, with delivery set for 2026 at the earliest. Financial terms were not disclosed.
