Funding deal highlights strong interest in Asia's most active property market

SINGAPORE -- Vertex Growth, a Singapore-based venture capital firm, has invested in a Japanese real estate database provider, a deal that highlights growing interest in the booming property sector in Asia's second-biggest economy.

Together with the Development Bank of Japan, the Vertex Growth fund led a 2.8 billion yen ($19 million) fundraising round for Estie, the Japanese startup announced Tuesday. Other investors include Estie's existing shareholders, including the University of Tokyo Edge Capital, Globis Capital Partners and Global Brain.
