HO CHI MINH CITY -- Vietnamese gaming and messaging unicorn VNG has become an Nvidia cloud partner, deepening the U.S. chipmaker's Asia connections months after CEO Jensen Huang toured the region.

Tencent-backed VNG told Nikkei Asia it equipped a data hub in Thailand with 1,000 Nvidia graphics processing units, hosting artificial intelligence and other software services for clients that use Nvidia products.
