Supermarket business practices backfire

DALIAN, China -- Supermarkets in China are hurting in the earnings department.

     Part of the problem is the nation's slowing economy. Online retailers are also snatching away customers. But perhaps the biggest issue is that the grocery stores are locked into business practices that make them ill-equipped to compete in the harsher conditions.
