BEIJING -- Hua Hong Semiconductor, China's second-largest foundry, has brought on a former Intel executive to build up its logic chip business amid a government-led effort to counter American supply restrictions.
The appointment of Bai Peng as president on Jan. 1 has fueled expectations in the industry that Hua Hong will make logic chips a focus, given Intel's presence in the field.
