TOKYO -- Fujifilm Holdings plans to spend more than 100 billion yen ($640 million) over three years to increase semiconductor materials production at facilities in Japan, the U.S., South Korea and elsewhere, Nikkei has learned.

The amount for the three-year period ending March 2027 is double the Japanese company's investment over the previous three fiscal years.
