TOKYO -- Japanese chipmaking device supplier Disco is set to form a subsidiary in India as early as September for marketing and helping manufacturers set up semiconductor fabs in the country.
The subsidiary, to be headquartered in Bengaluru, will start with a staff of around 10, to be expanded later based on customer trends. Disco will also establish a marketing and services site in Ahmedabad, a city in the western state of Gujarat with multiple planned chip fabs.
