TOKYO -- Once highly susceptible to volatility in the semiconductor market, Japan's Renesas Electronics has succeeded in building a more resilient business that remains profitable even in the face of headwinds, its latest quarterly results show.
Net profit shrank by 24% on the year to 79.8 billion yen ($514 million) in January-March, according to results released by the Japanese semiconductor maker on Thursday.
