TAIPEI -- More semiconductor "hubs" will be needed to guarantee supply chain resilience even as major chip economies remain deeply dependent on one another, according to the CEO of global industry association SEMI.
Ajit Manocha, president and CEO of SEMI, told Nikkei Asia that he also believes the industry remains on track to hit the $1 trillion mark within eight years, despite recent slowdowns. His comments come as major economies like the U.S., Europe and Japan rush to onshore chip production.
