TOKYO -- Researchers in Japan have developed technology to reduce electricity loss by as much as 30% in power semiconductor devices.

The team led by Makoto Takamiya, a professor at the University of Tokyo's Institute of Industrial Science, created a sensor circuit that detects voltage in a power semiconductor, as well as technology to automatically adjust current to the detected value.
