WASHINGTON -- Samsung Electronics and Renesas Electronics were among the Asian chipmakers to respond to a U.S. request for supply chain data by Monday while withholding detailed client information.
Japan's Renesas Electronics and Kioxia Holdings said they complied with the U.S. government's call to voluntarily provide data, intended to help identify vulnerabilities in the global supply chain. But both companies added that they left out detailed customer data from their disclosures.
