SEOUL -- Samsung Electronics' semiconductor business narrowed its operating loss by more than 600 billion won ($445 million) in the third quarter, as memory chip prices rebounded on production cuts by manufacturers.

The world's biggest memory chipmaker released complete earnings data on Tuesday, after announcing guidance for companywide operating profit and revenue earlier this month.
