BANGKOK -- Thailand has approved a $306 million investment by a subsidiary of Taiwanese Apple supplier Foxconn to produce machinery parts and equipment for the chip sector, the Board of Investment (BOI) said on Wednesday.
The investment is being made through Unique Integrated Technology, a subsidiary of Foxsemicon Integrated Technology, and will be used to build two factories, one in Chonburi province and one in Rayong province.
