TAIPEI -- Delta Electronics, an Apple and Tesla supplier, plans to build factories in Europe and North America to capitalize on demand for local electric vehicle production, the company's vice president said.

Delta will first expand its capacity for EV-related products at its existing plant in Slovakia for the European market, while also evaluating locations for new plants in North America, said James Tang, vice president and general manager of the company's electric vehicle group.
