PALO ALTO, California -- Apple reported record revenues for the October-December period on Thursday, but sales continued to decline in China, where the iPhone maker faces growing competition and has yet to roll out its own AI offerings.

For the three months ended Dec. 28, total revenue grew 4% on the year to $124.3 billion, a record. Apple's main revenue driver, the iPhone, however, dipped 0.8% to $69.1 billion.
