PALO ALTO, California -- Apple introduced its first AI-powered iPhone on Monday, though Chinese and Japanese consumers won't be able to experience the full power of Apple Intelligence until next year.

The highly anticipated iPhone 16 comes with the more powerful A18 chip, improved cameras, longer battery life and other upgrades, but its biggest selling point likely will be Apple Intelligence. These new artificial intelligence-powered functions include more intuitive interactions with voice assistant Siri and the integration of ChatGPT into the operating system.
