TOKYO/DALIAN, China -- Generative artificial intelligence is rapidly becoming more enmeshed in everyday life in China, fueling the rise of ByteDance's AI chatbot to the second-most widely used in the world.
"I had a fight with my wife, how can we make up?" asks a 37-old office worker in the city of Dalian in northeastern China, who seeks assistance from his AI assistant whenever he has a problem.
