TOKYO -- Japan's labor ministry will discuss adopting generative AI to improve its job-placement service, tapping Open AI, the company behind ChatGPT, as an adviser, Nikkei has learned.

The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare will announce the launch of a project team as early as this month. It will discuss introducing a generative AI tool for its Hello Work employment agency's online service.
