LIMA, Peru -- With the U.S.-China tech rivalry set to escalate over AI under the incoming Trump administration, Malaysia, which prides itself as a data center hub, doesn't want to pick a side between the two superpowers.
Malaysia has emerged as a digital hub in Asia. Major U.S. tech groups including Google, Microsoft, Nvidia, Amazon and Oracle have announced plans to build data centers there with investment totaling nearly $17 billion to meet exploding demand for artificial intelligence.
