PALO ALTO, California -- Nvidia is going on a world tour to showcase how artificial intelligence can address issues such as climate change and health care as the U.S. chip giant ramps up production of its next generation AI chip Blackwell.

Bob Pette, Nvidia's vice president of enterprise platforms, kicked off a three-day AI summit in Washington on Tuesday morning by demonstrating ways Nvidia's customizable AI inference service can help the public and private sectors.
