BENGALURU -- Indian IT services provider Tech Mahindra plans to expand its large language models that incorporate local languages as it seeks to meet growing demand and gain new clients by tapping the booming market for generative artificial intelligence.

This move would pit the company against global giants, such as Google parent Alphabet, Facebook owner Meta and ChatGPT developer OpenAI.
