Australia's Hysata and Posco partner on green hydrogen tech

Australia wants an electrolyzer industry, but CEO says more funds are needed

WOLLONGONG, Australia -- Australian electrolyzer developer Hysata has partnered with South Korean steel giant Posco to advance its hydrogen production technology and accelerate commercial production.

Hysata, a spinout from the University of Wollongong, announced on Friday it had signed joint development agreements with Posco Holdings and Posco Eco & Challenge. Posco was among the investors in the 172 million Australian dollars ($110 million) that Hysata raised this year.
