TOKYO -- Air conditioner maker Fujitsu General has developed a neck-worn cooling device designed to give construction and factory workers relief from the heat, as warmer global temperatures often put them in dangerously hot conditions.

The 300-gram personal device features a plate that can be chilled up to 20 C below the outside temperature, according to the company.
