MOUTAIN VIEW, California -- Google and Samsung Electronics will soon launch extended-reality (XR) artificial intelligence glasses that feature AI "agents" powered by Gemini models and designs by eyewear brands Gentle Monster and Warby Parker.

At the annual Google I/O developers conference Tuesday, CEO Sundar Pichai laid out the company's latest AI developments, including a search mode, a personalized assistant across Google's apps and updates to its models.
