TOKYO -- Companies in Japan have woken up to the rising trend of power naps during work hours, offering new gadgets that help employees catch some shut-eye during the day to increase productivity.

One company will launch a box-like device in which users can nap while standing up, a real space-saver for crowded offices. Another says its design can help reduce muscle stress for a more comfortable snooze.
