GUANGZHOU -- The Asian gambling hub of Macao kicked off its first Beyond Expo information technology show Thursday, an event anticipated to seed new growth industries and revitalize the regional economy.
"We will be cultivating new technologies, new businesses, new models and industries thus to boost the new economy and to further diversity Macao's economy so that it can integrate better to the big picture of the national economy," said Zhang Yuzhuo, a vice president at the China Association for Science and Technology, in the show's opening speech.
