TOKYO -- Mitsubishi Electric will set up a new plant for factory automation equipment in India, creating a third global production hub and taking a key step toward growing revenue in the fast-growing market.

The company rings up annual sales of more than 10 billion yen ($76.4 million) in India. The aim is to double this by fiscal 2025 and also to start exporting products from there to Southeast Asia and Europe.
