TOKYO -- Nippon Telegraph and Telephone will develop a generative artificial intelligence and offer its services to corporate clients sometime during the current fiscal year, through next March, Nikkei has learned.

NTT will let the AI learn expertise in financial, medical and other fields to meet specific client needs in each sector, taking a different path than American technology companies that spend huge sums of money operating generative AI systems for general purposes.
