TOKYO -- A capsule hotel set to open in Japan next year will monitor guests for their heart rate, breathing and other data as they sleep, part of a growing "sleep tech" industry.

Japanese information technology group NTT Data's new hotel debuts in July near Tokyo's Shinagawa station, with capacity for about 70 guests.
