TOKYO -- The number of generative artificial intelligence unicorns around the world nearly doubled in a year to 37 at the end of April, as tech heavyweights like Nvidia and Google pump funds into promising startups in the rapidly developing field.
This represents an 85% increase from 20 at the end of April 2023, based on data from U.S. research firm CB Insights tallied by Nikkei.
