Qualcomm launched a research and development center for artificial intelligence in Hanoi on June 10.

HANOI -- U.S. semiconductor maker Qualcomm has opened a R&D center for artificial intelligence in Vietnam, following its acquisition of Movian AI, a research unit of local conglomerate Vingroup.

The center, the first of its kind for Qualcomm in Southeast Asia, is part of the company's global AI research team and will focus on advancing generative and agentic AI solutions for smartphones, personal computers, extended reality (XR), automotive and internet of things applications.
