SEOUL -- Samsung Electronics plans to launch a smart ring later this year as it ramps up its mobile health business, looking to become the world's first major tech company to roll out such a device to track fitness around the clock.

Samsung teased an image of the Galaxy Ring at its Samsung Unpacked event in San Jose, California, last Wednesday after unveiling its first artificial intelligence-powered Galaxy S24 series smartphones.
