SEOUL -- A South Korean court on Monday found Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong not guilty of stock price manipulation and accounting fraud that prosecutors had alleged were used to secure his rise to the top of the global technology giant.

Prosecutors had sought a prison sentence of five years at the Seoul Central District Court.
