TOKYO -- SoftBank-backed Japanese internet services company Z Holdings on Wednesday launched a "quick commerce" service in Tokyo, following in the footsteps of overseas tech players active in the country.
In an online presentation, Z Holdings said it has set up eight locations in Tokyo that will store 1,500 types of goods, ranging from toilet paper to alcoholic beverages to instant noodles, supplied by its business e-commerce affiliate Askul. Users can order the goods from food delivery app Demae-can, another Z Holdings affiliate, which Demae-can staff will deliver in as little as 15 minutes.
