SEOUL -- South Korean tech group Naver will not reduce its ownership in Japan's popular chat app Line and internet portal Yahoo Japan, the company's CEO said Friday.

Naver has an indirect stake in LY Corp., the operator of Line and Yahoo Japan. But a string of data leaks prompted Japanese authorities to seek corrective measures, including a reassessment of LY's capital ties with Naver.
