TSMC's Morris Chang shares Intel, Samsung and Apple stories in new book

Founder and chip veteran also reveals he asked Nvidia CEO to be his successor

TAIPEI -- The "godfather" of Taiwan's chip industry shared his thoughts on the challenges facing rivals Intel and Samsung in a wide-ranging discussion at the launch event for his latest memoir, in Taipei.

Morris Chang, founder of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., said Intel, in particular, is facing "very hard" challenges following the resignation of its CEO, Pat Gelsinger.
