HAMBURG, Germany -- The roughly 200 employees at TikTok's Berlin office have cleared the final hurdle to form a works council, a move they hope will give them a voice in a range of management issues, from remuneration and performance evaluation to data privacy protection.

Employees' push to organize comes as the wildly popular video-sharing platform struggles with accusations of providing poor pay for increasingly challenging jobs from workers around the world.
