PALO ALTO, U.S. -- TikTok is ramping up hiring in the U.S. market even as the video sharing platform awaits a court ruling on whether it will face a sell-or-ban order next month.

The video-sharing platform owned by China's ByteDance is recruiting staff in the U.S. and is expanding its e-commerce service in the country, according to several people close to the situation.
